Best Fence Installation in Encino
Full-privacy aluminum fence, matching gates and WPC composite fence for Encino homes, supplied from our Panorama City showroom and installed through our licensed installation partners.
Fencing for Encino Homes
Encino sits between the Ventura Freeway and the Santa Monica Mountains, about fifteen minutes from our showroom. Homes here range from flat lots north of Ventura Boulevard to hillside properties with long views to the south, and the fence has to suit both.
Encino homeowners usually come to us for one of three reasons. They want privacy from a neighbor or the street, they want a driveway or side gate that finally works properly, or they want to replace a tired wood fence with something that will not need to be stained again. Below are two Encino projects that show how we handle each of those.
Ridgeline Full-Privacy Aluminum Fence and Gates
A horizontal aluminum privacy fence and matching gates for a hillside property with a view.

The goal
The owners wanted real privacy along the side and rear of the property without closing off the hillside view, and they wanted the gates to look like part of the fence rather than an afterthought.
Why Ridgeline
Ridgeline uses 4 inch horizontal slats set close together, so from the street and from the neighbor’s side it reads as a solid privacy fence. The horizontal lines suit modern and Mediterranean homes alike, and on a hillside they make the run look calm and level. Ridgeline comes in 6 x 6 ft and 8 x 8 ft panels, with pedestrian, double swing and sliding gates in the same slat, so the whole perimeter matches.
The result
A continuous dark aluminum line that gives the yard privacy, a gate that matches the fence slat for slat, and a finish that will not rust, rot or need repainting. Installation was done through our licensed installation partners.

Dark Gray WPC Composite Fence
For a second Encino home, the owners wanted the warmth of a wood fence without the yearly sanding and sealing. We supplied our WPC composite fence in dark gray (LU007), set on aluminum posts.
WPC, or wood-plastic composite, gives you the solid, board-on-board look of a wood privacy fence. It does not split, splinter or need paint, and the dark gray color sits quietly against stucco and landscaping. It was the right choice here because the fence runs along a long property line where full privacy mattered more than an open, architectural look.
What Shapes a Fence in Encino
City of Los Angeles height rules
Encino is part of the City of Los Angeles, so fences follow the city’s zoning code. In most residential zones, a fence in the required front yard is limited to about 3.5 feet, while fences in side and rear yards can go up to 8 feet on lots at least 40 feet wide. On hillside-area lots, which covers much of Encino south of Ventura Boulevard, and on narrower lots, the side and rear limit is 6 feet. Taller front-yard fences need city approval. Rules can change and some lots have special conditions, so always confirm with the Los Angeles Department of Building and Safety before you order. We are happy to help you plan the layout around these limits.
Hillside lots and views
Many homes south of Ventura Boulevard sit on slopes. Aluminum panels can be stepped down a hill so the slats stay level, and lighter open styles can be used where you want to keep a view. Steep or retaining-wall sites need careful post placement, which is part of planning the job.
Fire safety planning
Parts of the Encino hills are in designated fire hazard areas, and California is adding new rules for the space closest to homes. If you are rebuilding or planning near the house, read our Zone 0 fence guide and check current requirements with the city.
How an Encino Fence Project Works
- Visit or call. Come to the showroom to compare Ridgeline, Linea, Hampton and WPC side by side, or call (818) 647-0007 to talk it through.
- Share your property. Send your address, the rough length of each fence run, gate openings and a few photos, especially of slopes, walls and the street side.
- Get a clear package. We put together the panels, posts, gates and hardware for your layout, with the height limits for your lot in mind.
- Installation. We install through our licensed installation partners. If you already have a contractor you trust, we can supply them directly instead.
Because the fence comes from our own showroom stock, what you saw in person is what goes on your property.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do you install fences in Encino?
Yes, we do. We install through our licensed installation partners. We supply the fence, gates and posts from our Panorama City showroom, about fifteen minutes from Encino.
How tall can a fence be in Encino?
Encino follows City of Los Angeles rules. In most residential zones, front-yard fences are limited to about 3.5 feet, and side and rear fences to 8 feet, or 6 feet on hillside-area and narrow lots. Confirm your lot with the Los Angeles Department of Building and Safety before ordering.
What is the best privacy fence for an Encino home?
For a modern, architectural look, a horizontal aluminum fence like Ridgeline or the fully closed Linea. For the look of wood without the upkeep, WPC composite. Both are on display in our showroom.
Can an aluminum fence go on a hillside lot?
Yes. Aluminum panels are usually stepped down the slope so the slats stay level, and posts are placed to suit the grade. Share photos of your site and we can plan the run.
Can I see the Ridgeline and WPC fences before I decide?
Yes. Visit our showroom at 14600 Arminta St, Panorama City, Monday to Friday 8 am to 5 pm, or Sunday 10 am to 4 pm by appointment.
